Obituary for Ida Madaline Moore (Fowler)

It is with great sadness that the family of Ida Madaline Moore, 89, of Grantsville, announces her passing, on Thursday, January 16, 2020 at Lexington Medical Center, West Columbia, SC.

Madaline Moore was born May 17, 1930 in Granstville, WV, a daughter of the late Levi Franklin and Elfie Rachel Barr Fowler. Madaline graduated from Calhoun County High School in 1948 and attended Mountain State College in Parkersburg. Madaline worked at Calhoun County Bank in the loan department from August 1978 until retirement in February 1992.

Madaline was a devout Christian and active member of Enon Baptist Church. She was an active member of ABWA, taught Sunday school, helped with vacation bible school, and worked as the church clerk and association clerk.

Madaline will be lovingly remembered by her three siblings, Imogene Hoskins, Foster Fowler and Oleva Gainer, her three daughters, Beth Moore, Lisa Reichard, and Susan Erlewine, her six grandchildren, one great grandchild, and countless other friends and family members.

In addition to her parents, Madaline was preceded in death by, her husband Frank Moore, seven siblings, Edward Fowler, Velma McEndree, Durward Fowler, Dale Fowler, Glen Fowler, Victor Fowler, and Gerry Wallace, and her daughter Nancy Moore.

A funeral Service will be held Saturday, January 25, 2020 at 1:00 p.m., at the Stump Funeral Home & Cremation, Inc., 107 Market St, Grantsville, WV 26147, with Rev. John Vannoy officiating. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 11:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. Interment will follow in the family plot at Mount Zion United Methodist Church Cemetery.
