Obituary for Olen Curtis Siers

Olen C. Siers, 94, of Mt. Zion, WV passed away at Minnie Hamilton Health Center in Grantsville, West Virginia on March 10, 2020.

Olen was born on May 25, 1925 in Minnora, West Virginia, a son of the late Charles and Malissa Cook Siers.

Olen was a hard worker, first on the family farm and then for the Ford Motor Company at the Walton Hills Stamping Plant in Ohio. He retired after 32 years.

Olen was predeceased by his wife of sixty years Murl Gunn. He is survived by three daughters, Mary Ann Gredesky of Kent, Ohio, Barbara Siers Zang (and Daniel Zang) of Farmington Hills, Michigan, and Connie Siers Gray (and Donald Gray) of Finksburg, Maryland. He was predeceased by his sons Richard Dale and David Olen. Olen enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren Kimberly Ann Siers, David Olen Gredesky, Creston Avery Zang, Garrick Daniel Zang, Jedidiah Olen Gray, and Seth Douglas Gray. There was a special spot in his heart for his great-grandson Dale Wyatt Webber.

He was a member of the Spencer Church of Christ.

Olen enjoyed many hobbies in retirement including gardening, woodworking, and collecting cars. His favorite car was his 1930 Ford Model A that he drove well into his 90s. It was just like the car he learned to drive in so many years ago.

He is already missed by his friends and family.
