Obituary for Sanford "Sandy" Satterfield
Sanford "Sandy" Satterfield, 75, of Grantsville WV, passed away on December 18, 2021, at Minnie Hamilton Health System Long Term Care, having had a stroke in November 2020.
He was born November 8, 1946, a son of the late Emmett Satterfield and Frances Richards Satterfield Scott.
He is survived by three younger siblings, Stephen Satterfield of Grantsville, WV; Stewart Satterfield of Doylestown, Ohio; and Sherry Satterfield Butt (husband Richard) of Mt. Zion, WV; one aunt, and several nieces and nephews.
He was a member of First Baptist Church of Grantsville. Sandy graduated from Calhoun High School in 1965. He served four years in the US Air Force. He enjoyed reading anything to do with history and genealogy.
Per his request, he will be cremated with burial in the Nobe Cemetery, with a private service for family at a later date.
