Obituary

Virginia Joan Starcher, 97, of Minnora, WV went home to be with the Lord on February 10, 2019 at Minnie Hamilton Health System Long Term Care, Grantsville, WV.

She was born February 16, 1921 in Calhoun County, WV, the daughter of the late Lester and Maude Hershman Bailey.

Virginia was a long-time member of Prudence Chapel as a faithful Christian. She loved Bible study and studying her Bible. She was a homemaker, loved working in her flower beds and gardening. Virginia loved life and had many friends and family that loved her as well.

While at Minnie Hamilton Long Term Care, Virginia occupied a lot of her time coloring beautiful pictures.
For the past 2 ½ years she was cared for by the compassionate staff at Minnie Hamilton Long Term Care.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Clayton Starcher; son, Marvin Lee Starcher; daughter-in-law, Joy Starcher; daughter, Evelyn Jean LaFleur; and son-in-law, “Frenchie” LaFleur.

A funeral service will be held at Stump Funeral Home & Cremation, Inc., Grantsville, WV on Thursday, February 14, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Tim Hickman officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Interment will be in Minnora Cemetery. Online condolences may be expressed at www.stumpfuneralhomes.com
