William G. Marks, 65,of Grantsville, WV passed away on February 27, 2020 at his home following his second battle with cancer.  He beat lung cancer in 2011. 

He was born October 12, 1954 in Ithaca, NY, a son of the late Millard and Patricia Inman Marks. 

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by brother, Richard Marks and wife, Shannon Marks whom he loved with all his heart and continued to wear wedding band for 10+ plus years. William was a fitter/welder and owned his own company called Poor Boys Welding. He was a master at his craft.  William loved fishing, hunting, and family.  He would do anything for anyone at any time. 

He is survived by four children, Brenda Whitmarsh, William Marks, Jr., Jennifer Thurmer, and Wendy Marks (Duane); 12 grandchildren; and 3 great-grandchildren; many cousins,nieces, and nephews. 

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, March 8, 2020 at Stump Funeral Home &Cremation, Inc., Grantsville, WV with Pastor Tim Davis officiating.  Visitation will be Sunday from Noon-2:00 p.m.  Online condolences may he expressed at www.stumpfuneralhomes.com
