Obituary for Raleigh "Jim" Greathouse

Raleigh “Jim” Greathouse, 88, of Spencer, WV passed away on December 6, 2017 at his home.
He was born in Roane County, WV on September 16, 1929, a son of the late Howard and Hazel Greathouse. He used the birthday of March 5, 1929 to get into the military.

He served in the US Army and was a heavy equipment operator.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Gene, John, Norval, and an infant boy; sisters, Pauline, Juanita, Maryanne, and Nora.
He is survived by son, Lyle (Kay) Snider; brother, Orval (Pete) Greathouse; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.

Per Mr. Greathouse’s wishes, no public service will be held. Stump Funeral Home & Cremation, Inc. has been entrusted with the final arrangements for Mr. Greathouse. Online condolences may be expressed at www.stumpfuneralhomes.com
